The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is advising consumers to stop using Columbus, Georgia-based Masterbuilt Manufacturing Inc.'s Electric Smokehouse Smokers due to fire hazard.
The Electric Smokehouse Smokers of model numbers 20070312 and 20070512 were sold in Bass Pro Shops and Cabelas stores nationwide from May 2012 through August 2012 for a price between $270 and $430.
There have been six reports of fires occurring in the smoker causing the door to blow open, and the company has recalled 11,000 units of their electric smokers.
According to Masterbuilt Manufacturing website, consumers can contact (800) 489-1581 for a free repair kit.
