The Australian dollar extended its downtrend against other currencies in early European deals on Tuesday.
The aussie slipped to 0.9052 against the greenback, its lowest since July 15. Against the yen, the aussie hit a 1-1/2-month low of 89.03.
The aussie reached 1.1333 against the kiwi, a level unseen since November 2008.
The aussie dropped to 1.4639 against the euro for the first time since July 2010. Against the loonie, the aussie fell to 0.9312, its lowest in nearly 3 years.
