Neil Young has shelved all remaining dates on his European tour with Crazy Horse due to a hand injury sustained by guitarist Frank "Poncho" Sampedro. The cancellations include dates in both the U.K. and continental Europe.
Young's camp released an official statement saying he'd like to give Poncho a chance to heal up:
"[Sampedro has] a mild fracture. He's expected to make a complete recovery in time for the North American tour [on 31 August]," a rep for Young tells Rolling Stone.
Young added his own statement, apologizing to fans:
"We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes to our fans or the festivals where we were scheduled to appear. As you must be, we too are disappointed at this unfortunate turn of events."
