Turkey's Tourist Arrivals Rise Notably In August

Turkey's tourist arrivals logged a double-digit expansion in August, data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism showed Monday.

Foreign tourist arrivals increased 10.64 percent year-on-year in August, up sharply from July's 0.48 percent rise. The number of foreign tourists reached about 4.95 million in August.

During January to August, foreign visitors increased by 10.67 percent from the same period of last year to 24.08 million.
