Neil Young and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will both perform at a benefit for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music on October 30 in Los Angeles. Funds raised at the gig will help the non-profit school purchase a permanent building and expand its scholarship program.

Flea, the bassist for RHCP who started the school in 2001, thanked Young for his help with the benefit.

"Going into our 13th year of the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, flourishing with 700 students as a nonprofit community music school, I could not be more grateful for all the people who have helped us out along the way," he said. "Having one of my favorite musicians Neil Young perform to help out the school is the greatest blessing!"

Tickets for the benefit cost $2,000 per person or $25,000 for a table of ten.
