After-market Movers For Oct. 10 (SWY, MU, GPS, SGI)

Shares of Safeway Inc. (SWY) gained more than 6% in after hours trading after the supermarket giant said it plans to exit the Chicago market, where it operates 72 Dominick's stores, by early 2014.

Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) shares fell more than 1% in extended hours trading after the memory chip maker reported fourth quarter profit that missed analyst estimates.

Shares of Gap, Inc. (GPS) slipped more than 5% in late trading after the apparel retailer said its same-store sales fell 3% in September.

Silicon Graphics International Corp. (SGI) shares tumbled more than 15% in after hours trading after the supplier of scale-out and scale-up servers lowered its first quarter and full year outlook, citing uncertainty related to the timing of various IT projects funded by the U.S. government.
