John Rich's Stalker Gets Court Order To Wear GPS Tracking Device

The man accused of stalking John Rich has been ordered by a Nashville judge to wear a GPS tracking device until he receives a full mental evaluation.

Mark Christopher Sevier, 36, has stalked Rich for years, making threatening telephone calls and sending Rich and his family emails, including one in which he is covered with a blood-like substance while draped in an American flag.

Sevier was also recently accused of stalking a 17-year-old Nashville girl after he refused to leave the Ben and Jerry's store where she worked.

Rich appeared in court to plead that Sevier be ordered to wear a GPS device so that he could keep his family safe:

"I have a 2-year-old son. I have a 4-year-old son. That is the basis of my fears, that is, my kids. It's red alert in my house," he said.

Judge Casey Moreland said that the GPS device was the least restrictive measure that could be taken against Sevier, adding that Sevier was not to mention either Rich or the girl he stalked on any social media platform.
