The New Zealand dollar has been extending its bull run against other major currencies in early New York deals on Friday.
The kiwi hit 86.76 against the yen, a level not seen since March 2008. This may be compared to an Asian session's multi-day low of 85.38.
The kiwi hit a new 3-week high of 0.8308 against the greenback and more than a 5-week high of 1.6388 versus the euro.
The kiwi advanced to 1.0826 against the aussie from a prior multi-day low of 1.0906.
