A collector's edition of the 1968 film Wonderwall, with a score composed by George Harrison, is scheduled for release to DVD and Blu-ray on March 25.
The plot of the film centers on the eccentric scientist Oscar Collins (Jack MacGowran), whose next-door neighbours are a photographer (Iain Quarrier) and his girlfriend/model (Jane Birkin), named Penny Lane.
Oscar gradually becomes infatuated with the girl, and feels a part of the couple's lives, losing track of his own work in order to follow the arc of their relationship.
The collector's edition of the film features the theatrical and director's cuts, as well as a new 32-page book collecting "essays, analysis and production details."
Harrison's contribution to the film consists chiefly of brief instrumentals recorded in London in Dec. 1967 and Bombay during Jan. 1968.
