Pacific Ethanol Inc. (PEIX) reported fourth quarter EPS of $0.54 after the bell Wednesday, compared to the loss of $0.60 last year. Revenues also rose to $215.3 million from $197.0 million in the same quarter last year.
Pacific Ethanol gapped up sharply Thursday and rose throughout the first half of the session. The stock finished up by 5.91 at $14.94 on the highest volume of the year. Pacific Ethanol surged to a new high for the year.
