Bryan Adams and Aerosmith are among the names confirmed for the upcoming Big Music Fest, which takes place in Kitchener, Ontario's McLennan Park from July 11-13. Adams headlines on July 12, while Aerosmith closes out the fest the following night.
Other big acts slated to appear include Styx, Collective Soul, Moist, Slash featuring Myles Kenney and the Conspirator, Big Wreck and Kim Mitchell. More acts are expected to be announced shortly.
Speaking with the CBC, event planner Bill Ioannidis says he hopes the fest puts Kitchener on the map:
"[I]t's just letting the world know we're ready to rock more events in the community. We're sometimes forgotten. I'm loving that this is going to showcase that we're here."
Big Music Fest is billed as the biggest outdoor event in Canada.
