The Flaming Lips have announced the release of Flaming Side of the Moon, a so called companion album to the classic Pink Floyd record, Dark Side of the Moon.
According to a presser, the LP is "carefully crafted to sync up perfectly with the 1939 film, The Wizard of Oz."
The statement adds: "For ideal listening conditions, fans are encouraged to seek out the original Alan Parsons engineered quadraphonic LP mix of Dark Side, but it will work with the album on any format."
The Flaming Side of the Moon is available now.
In 2009, the Flaming Lips covered the whole Floyd record, recruiting several guests including Henry Rollins and Peaches to help with the effort.
