At least four people were found shot dead and four others seriously injured in incidents reported from Jonesboro, Craighead County, about 130 miles northeast of Little Rock, Arkansas Saturday afternoon.
Responding to a 911 call, police found a man and a 13-year-old girl shot dead and four others injured in a house off Moore Road, east Jonesboro. The injured include a man and a woman, and two boys aged 10 and 8 - both of whom are reported to be in a critical condition.
The gunman is also reported to have killed a construction worker at a nearby business. Responding to another 911, police found a man dead from an apparent gunshot wound in the driver's seat of a stopped car in the middle of a county road. Officials believe the man to be the gunman responsible for the killings, but could not immediately confirm it or if he killed himself.
Police said all involved in the incident were having some kind of party or gathering, with all victims and suspect believed to be Hispanic. The police have yet to establish a motive, but indicated the investigation as ongoing.
