Microblogging platform Twitter has enabled a new feature that allows you to mute annoying friends without having to hit unfollow.
Twitter is currently testing the feature with a random selection of users, so you might actually be able mute that TV-spoiling friend of yours right now. All you have to do is go to a friend's profile, click the gear menu, and see if you have access to the mute function.
With the new feature, users need not read the tweets and re-tweets of a friend, and can remain followers of that friend. As of now, the added feature has been applauded by many users.
If Twitter has enabled the future for your account, it will be easily visible at the top of the list. Else, you may have to wait for a platform-wide rollout to enjoy the ability to silence your friends.
