During a Twitter question-and-answer session, Monica revealed that she will collaborate with Missy Elliott on her upcoming album. "Yes," she replied to a fan who made the query without elaborating further.
It's not the first time the pair have teamed up. Missy also wrote "Anything (to Find You)," which is from Monica's last studio album, New Life.
Another fan asked "have you set a date for when you want your album to drop," to which Monica replied, "we haven't set a date yet but before year ends for sure."
New Life was a disappointing release for Monica, as each of its four singles ("Anything," "Until It's Gone," "It All Belongs to me" and "Without You") failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.
