Opsec Security Appoints Richard Cremona As CEO

Opsec Security Group Plc. (OSG.L), a supplier of anti-counterfeiting technologies and services, announced that it has appointed Richard Cremona as its Chief Executive Officer. The company intends to appoint Cremona to the Board of Directors in due course, subject to the satisfactory completion of the necessary regulatory requirements.

Cremona has held a wide variety of executive management positions with AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Sprint and Openwave Systems. From 2008 to 2013, he was Chief Executive Officer of Kentrox Inc. In 2013, Kentrox was acquired by Westell Technologies (WSTL), at which time he joined Westell Technologies as its Chief Operating Officer.

Mark Turnage, the former Chief Executive Officer, will continue to serve on the Board in his new role as Vice Chairman.

The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
