Despite rumors, Carly Rae Jepsen is not broke and trying to pawn all of her possessions, according to her manager.
Website Crazy Days And Nights reported that Jepsen "may be broke" after "failing to achieve another hit song," even describing her as a "one-hit wonder." Cosmopolitan.com then reported that she was spotted in a New York City pawn shop trying to sell a handbag but when the shop refused to buy it from her, as their policy is not to take bags, she apparently gave up a piece of her jewelry instead.
Jepsen's manager Jonathan Simkin was quick to dismiss both of the reports in an email: "I have no knowledge of the incident in question, but the conclusion that she is broke is outlandish," reported The Province.
