Turkey Foreign Tourist Arrivals Rise At Faster Rate In June

The number of foreign visitor arrivals in Turkey rose at a faster rate in June, data from the the Ministry of Culture and Tourism showed Thursday.

Tourist arrivals rose 6.41 percent year-over-year in June, which was notably faster than the 2.36 percent increase in May. Arrivals grew 4.93 percent in the same month last year.

The total number of foreign visitors increased to 4.3 million in June from 3.9 million in May.

In the period of January to June, tourist arrivals grew 4.73 percent from a year ago to 15.24 million.
