Macklemore joined Fences onstage to kick off Good Morning America's Fall Concert Series.

They performed the track "Arrows," which will appear on Fences' Elektra Records debut, Lesser Oceans, due out in January. The track was produced by Macklemore cohort Ryan Lewis.

"It's pop, but it's also vulnerable," Fences frontman Christopher Mansfield told GMA's George Stephanopoulos of the new track. "Which is something I like to do: be vulnerable but also honest with yourself."

Initially Macklemore was leery of lending his vocals to the track because he wasn't sure exactly where his talents would fit on the pop track.

"It didn't sound like something I could necessarily rap on," the rapper told Rolling Stone last month. "But I was down."

Macklemore also appears in the music video for "Arrows."
