"Somethin' Bad," the hit duet by Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, has gone platinum, selling over one million copies since its May release, according to the R.I.A.A.
The song also topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, which is the 13th time Underwood has done so, and the fifth time for Lambert.
In addition "Somethin' Bad" has garnered two CMA Award nominations for the pair in the Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year categories.
"Asking her to do this was nerve-wracking," said Lambert of the collaboration. "I sent her an e-mail, a long, blabbing e-mail about if she wanted to sing on the record, it could be cool, but maybe she didn't want to, and if she liked the song, but she didn't have to like the song . . . and when I sent it, I thought, 'This sounds ridiculous'."
The cut is the second single from Lambert's latest album, Platinum. The record features another chart topping single, "Automatic."
