Greece's current account surplus in September increased from a year ago, data from Bank of Greece revealed Thursday.
The current account surplus grew to EUR 1.62 billion from EUR 970 million in the same month last year.
The visible trade deficit narrowed to EUR 1.26 billion from EUR 1.48 billion a year ago. The services trade surplus, meanwhile, increased to EUR 2.96 billion from EUR 2.53 billion in the same month last year.
The balance in the income account turned to a deficit of EUR 106.6 million from a surplus of EUR 15.2 million. Current transfers swung to a surplus of EUR 29.9 million from a EUR 96.2 million deficit.
