The Doobie Brothers will team up with the String Cheese Incident to form the Doobie Brothers Incident at next year's Lockn' Music Festival in Arlington, Virginia. The fest takes place from September 10 to 13.
"Music is so damn fun, and then along comes something to ramp the fun factor up 150%! I can hardly wait to see what happens with this chemistry experiment," said the Doobies' Patrick Simmons.
"Thanks to the String Cheese guys for taking this step with us into the extemporaneous zone. We'll be honing our chops, getting ready to jam. There could be no better place to for this to happen than this epic Festival! It's gonna be a great time!"
Previous popular String Cheese Incident collabs have included Zac Brown in 2013 and Kool and the Gang this year.
