Lynyrd Skynyrd To Film Live DVD In Jacksonville

Lynyrd Skynyrd will perform two shows in Jacksonville on February 12 and 13 to be filmed for a TV special. One performance will feature the band playing their 1973 album Pronounced Leh-nerd Skin-nerd, while the other will see the band playing Second Helping in full.

"We've been wanting to go back and recreate these live records for a long time," singer Johnny Van Zant told the Florida Times-Union.

"We decided to come back to our hometown, Jacksonville, and play at the legendary Florida Theatre. Can't wait to rock it."

Pronounced Leh-nerd Skin-nerd features hits like "Tuesday's Gone," "Gimme Three Steps," "Simple Man" and "Free Bird," while Second Helping features hits like "Call Me the Breeze," "The Ballad of Curtis Loew" and the band's biggest hit, "Sweet Home Alabama."
