Malaysia's jobless rate remained unchanged in November, figures from the Department of Statistics showed Monday.
The unemployment rate came in at 2.7 percent in November, the same rate as seen in the previous month. A year ago, the jobless rate was 3.4 percent.
Meanwhile, the unemployment rate on a seasonally adjusted basis rose slightly to 2.8 percent in November from 2.7 percent in October. In the same month last year, the rate was at 3.5 percent.
The number of unemployed people decreased to 375,100 in November from 378,200 in the prior month. A year earlier, unemployment totaled 475,500.
The labor force participation rate increased to 67.5 percent in November from 67.4 in October. In the corresponding month previous year, the rate stood at 67.8 percent.
