Teck Resources Ltd. (TCK,TCK_A.TO, TCK_B.TO) reported that a flash fire occurred in the dryer complex at the company's Greenhills Operations near Elkford British Columbia today at about 11:00 a.m. Mountain Time. However, the fire was quickly extinguished.
The cause of the incident was not known at this time and the company has launched an investigation to determine the cause. All employees, visitors and contractors at site have been accounted for, but three employees have received non-life threatening injuries.
The company added that there was no major impact to the operation.
