Peter Frampton, Warren Haynes and Joe Satriani celebrated Les Paul's 100th birthday on Tuesday.
The guitar icons attended the Les Paul 100th Anniversary Celebration concert hosted in New York City by the Hard Rock Café, which also included performances by Steve Miller, Neal Schon and Steve Vai. Also attending the concert were Zakk Wylde, Twisted Sister's Jay Jay French, Marky Ramone and Rick Derringer.
The festivities also included a Les Paul memorabilia display at the Hard Rock Café, as well as celebrations in Hollywood, Nashville, and Waukesha, Wisconsin (Paul's birthplace).
Les Paul is credited with pioneering the solid-body electric guitar as well as for his guitar-playing skills and innovations in overdubbing and multi-track recording. He died in 2009 at the age of 94.
