Paul McCartney headlined the Firefly Festival over the weekend, taking time out from his set to honor those killed in the Charleston, South Carolina church shooting last week.
"Let's take a moment to pray for peace and harmony amongst people of different colors in the world," McCartney told the audience, following the moment of silence with a performance of "The Long Winding Road."
Run the Jewels, which also performed at Firefly, had its own tribute to the victims of the shooting.
"We're going to Europe on tour shortly," El-P told the crowd. "We'll always bring with us the ridiculous tragic arrogance that America has provided us, everywhere we go."
