David Bowie has announced Five Years 1969-1973, a 12 CD/13 LP collection due September 25.
In a presser, the set is promised as the "first in a series of boxed sets spanning his career."
It includes "all of the material officially released by Bowie during the nascent stage of his career from 1969 to 1973 as well as "tracks that have never before appeared on CD/digitally as well as new remasters."
The set features the albums David Bowie, The Man Who Sold The World, Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, Aladdin Sane, PinUps, Live Santa Monica '72, Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture Soundtrack, Re:Call 1 (a remix of Spiders from Mars) and Re:Call 2 (a two-disc compilation of non-album singles, single versions and B-sides).
