Alice Cooper has released details on his new supergroup, Hollywood Vampires, a project featuring Johnny Depp, Joe Perry, Dave Grohl, Paul McCartney, Perry Farrell, and Joe Walsh among others.
Cooper says that the original members of the Hollywood Vampires club met while out drinking on the Sunset Strip.
"To join the club, one simply had to out-drink all of the members," he began. "I would walk in on a typical night, and John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Keith Moon — who would usually be in a costume like a maid or a chauffeur — Bernie Taupin and Mickey Dolenz would be there."
The covers album features hits like the Who's "My Generation," Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" and Jimi Hendrix's "Manic Depression." The LP lands September 11.
