Brett Eldredge has been named the first celebrity judge of next year's Miss America competition, the singer announced in a statement.
"I get to judge Miss America. Are you kidding me?!" Eldredge began. "Talk about a dream come true! I can't wait to be a part of this."
He adds to People that he's looking for the total package in a woman.
"I love a woman that has it together. She knows what she wants for her career and her life and has goals. It's beyond beauty — it's that they have it together, and they know what they want. I'll be basing a lot of my decisions on that."
Eldredge was the first of seven celeb judges to be announced for the pageant.
Miss America airs live on ABC on September 13.
