Letetia Henley Kirk, the former private nurse to Elvis, has written a memoir of her time with the King, Taking Care of Elvis . . . Memories with Elvis as His Private Nurse and Friend.
Kirk, along with her husband and daughters, lived on the Graceland compound from 1972 to 1983, and spent lots of time with the rock n' roll legend.
She says she got offers from major publishers but chose to self-publish with Wimmer, which announced the news via its Facebook page.
"She . . . wanted to share stories about Elvis as a person in normal, everyday settings. She went on to say that Elvis was a loving, caring, and intelligent man."
Wimmer notes that the book will be available on Amazon, although its not listed there yet.
