Japan's department store sales climbed for the fourth straight month in July at a faster pace, a report from the Japan Department Stores Association showed Wednesday.
Department store sales grew 3.4 percent year-over-year in July, much faster than previous month's 0.4 percent increase.
In the capital region Tokyo, sales gained 7.2 percent in July from a year ago. At the same time, a 5.3 percent decline was seen in Kyoto.
