Joe Nichols has released a lyric video for "Freaks Like Me," the lead single from his upcoming album. "'Freaks Like Me' is about being unapologetically proud of who you are and not worrying about being cool or what the other people think of you," Nichols says in a statement.
"I'm a traditional guy, and some people don't think that's necessarily cool, but that's all right. I'm a freak to some people, but that's who I am, and I'm proud of that."
In the chorus, Nichols reflects on what it means to be a freak.
"Freaks like me, just outside the in crowd / Freaks like me, out of style and damn proud / Raise a can, 'cause I'm a fan / Of everyone who has turned out to be / Freaks like me," he croons.
So far there's been no word on when his next album lands.
