Greece's industrial production increased for the second straight month in May, data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority showed Monday.
Industrial production rose a working-day-adjusted 2.9 percent year-over-year in May, but slower than the 3.3 percent gain in the previous month.
Production in the manufacturing sector advanced 6.6 percent annually in May, while mining and quarrying output tumbled by 22.8 percent.
On a monthly basis, industrial production decreased 4.1 percent in May, reversing a 4.2 percent rise in April.
