Ringo Starr Says He Voted In Favor Of Brexit

Ringo Starr has shared some surprising political news that he voted in favor of the controversial Brexit decision. The referendum vote has put the pieces in place for Great Britain to separate from the European Union and the move was largely supported by conservative voters, which Starr has traditionally not been.

"I voted for Brexit because I thought the European Union was a great idea, but I didn't see it going anywhere lately," Starr recently told Bloomberg Businessweek. "It's in shambles, and we're all stuck with people who want to make arrangements for their own country and don't think for the other countries. Britain should be out and get back on its own feet."

Paul McCartney weighed in as well and explained that he didn't vote because he was on tour, but would've likely voted to remain.

"I think I would have come down on the remain side," McCartney told the Washington Post. "Because people like the Governor of the Bank of England, a lot of financial experts, were saying that."
