China Industrial Output Gains 6.0% In July

Industrial production in China was up 6.0 percent on year in July, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Friday.

That missed forecasts for 6.2 percent, which would have been unchanged from the June reading.

Retail sales climbed an annual 10.2 percent - also shy of expectations for 10.5 percent and down from 10.6 percent in the previous month.

Fixed asset investment advanced 8.1 percent, also beneath forecasts for 8.9 percent and down from 9.0 percent a month earlier.
