Justin Timberlake covered Cyndi Lauper's hit song "True Colors" for the soundtrack to the upcoming animated film Trolls. The new rendition also features actress Anna Kendrick.
Timberlake and Kendrick performed their rendition of "True Colors" at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. Armed with an acoustic guitar and backed by an additional guitarist, Timberlake handled most of the song's vocal duties with Kendrick harmonizing during the song's chorus.
Trolls hits theatres November 4 and sees Timberlake play grey troll Branch, while Kendrick voices a troll called Poppy. The film follows the plight of the trolls, who are menaced by troll-eating monsters called Bergens. James Corden, Zooey Deschanel, Gwen Stefani, Big Bang Theory actor Kunal Nayyar, comedian Ron Funches and Icona Pop also voice characters.
