Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) announced after the bell Tuesday that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.39 per share, which represents an increase of 8 percent over its previous dividend.
The Board also announced that it has approved a new $40 billion share repurchase program.
Microsoft traded in a range for the bulk of Tuesday's session and closed down by 0.12 at $56.81. The stock is now up 0.57 on 1 million shares after the bell.
