Roger Waters has again lashed out against GOP presidential candidate, Donald Trump. Waters claims Trump's rise is just as dangerous as Adolf Hitler's.
Waters was recently a guest on Marc Maron's podcast WTF, where he discussed his anxieties over a Trump presidency. In the interview Waters told the host, "It's a short step to all out-total fascism, a complete police state. It's always insidious when it creeps up. It was insidious in Germany in the '30s. National Trumpism feels a bit less insidious, but it's just as dangerous."
Waters went on to say, "The method for taking over the state and for it becoming a totalitarian police state, it's always the same - it's always the identification of the other as the enemy," Waters asserts. "In Trump's case, it's the Chinese, the Mexicans and Islam. With Hitler, it was the Jews, the Communists, the Gypsies [as well as] anyone who had a physical deformity [and] homosexuals."
