Neil Diamond landed his 38th top 10 hit on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. The song "The Christmas Medley" rose from number 11 to 10 on a survey dated January 7, 2017.
The tune "The Christmas Medley" comes off of Diamond's recently-released Acoustic Christmas album. The album itself landed at number 6 on the Holiday Albums charts and had a weekly sales record of 16,000 in the week ending December 22.
Billboard reports, "Diamond moves within one of Elton John's record for the most top 10s since the chart premiered in the Billboard issue dated July 17, 1961."
