South Korea Consumer Confidence Improves In February

South Korea's consumer confidence strengthened for the first time in four months in February, figures from Bank of Korea showed Friday.

The composite consumer sentiment index rose to 94.4 in February from 93.3 in January.

Consumer sentiment on current living standards increased to 88 in February from 87 in the prior month. Their outlook also improved, with the index rising to 93 from 91.

The index measuring current domestic economic conditions climbed to 55 in February from 51 in January. Their outlook was three points higher at 70.0.

The expectation for inflation over the following year was 2.7 percent. The survey was conducted among 2,200 households between February 10 and 17.
