The manufacturing sector in South Korea continued to contract in February, albeit at a slightly slower pace, the latest survey from Nikkei revealed on Thursday with a manufacturing PMI score of 49.2.
That's up from 49.0 in January, although it remains beneath the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.
Individually, production contracted further alongside moderate declines in new business.
Job cuts were evident among falling backlogs of work.
