Indonesia's exports grew less than expected in April, data published by the Central Statistical Agency showed Monday.

Exports increased 12.6 percent year-on-year in April, but much slower than the 20.35 percent rise economists had forecast.

Likewise, imports climbed 10.31 percent versus the expected growth of 20.5 percent.

The trade surplus totaled $1.24 billion, well above the expected surplus was $946 million.
