Macklemore is reportedly recuperating without major injuries after a car wreck earlier this week. The Seattle emcee was reportedly struck head-on by a drunk driver earlier this week. The incident happened in Langley, Washington when a 24-year-old in a 1986 Chevrolet pickup crossed the center line colliding with Macklemore's 2016 S-Class Mercedes-Benz.
While the rapper was unhurt in the accident the drive was not wearing a seatbelt. He reportedly collided with the windshield and was bleeding and unconscious when authorities arrived. After being revived he told authorities he had, in fact, been drinking earlier in the day. He was treated at a local hospital and has been charged with DUI.
Various sources report that the rapper had two passengers in the car at the time. One of Macklemore's two passengers was treated for a minor injury, but everyone else in the vehicle walked away from the scene unscathed. Macklemore most recently released a new singled titled "Marmalade."
