Google will now allow its cloud customers to explore ways to use Blockchain's distributed ledger technology (DLT) frameworks on Google Cloud Platform (GPC) by using Digital Asset and BlockApps.
Digital Asset is a New York-based startup which makes tools to build blockchain-based apps and BlockApps is another startup which helps people make decentralized apps.
Ahead of the Google Cloud Next '18 conference, in a blog post, Google announced Digital Asset and BlockApps among its launch partners on GPC.
Google also plans to introduce open-source integrations for apps built using blockchain's Hyperledger Fabric and Ethereum later in the year on the GCP Marketplace.
Google said it will provide further details of GCP marketplace during the DLT Partnerships session at the Google Next '18 event.
BlockApps announced the partnership with Google Cloud Platform on July 23 offering BlockApps Ethereum-based STRATO platform, a rapid-deployment Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) solution for enterprises. It enables enterprises the ability to test and implement blockchain application solutions across any business sector.
On the same day, Digital Asset announced a deal with GPC to bring Digital Asset's blockchain platform and developer tools to GCP. It will provide developers access to a comprehensive suite of tools and services to build, test and deploy DLT applications on-demand and without having to configure the underlying platform.
Some of the leading technology companies such as Microsoft's Azure, IBM, HP Enterprise, SAP, Oracle and Amazon Web Services had launched BaaS last year.
