Korn is reportedly back in the studio in Tennessee writing and recording a new album.

Drummer Ray Luzier posted an Instagram photo from his session at producer Nick Raskulinecz's Rock Falcon Studio inside the Nashville complex owned by Black River Entertainment. "Great day of tracking at Rock Falcon Studios," he wrote in the accompanying caption.

Guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer confirmed that sessions for the band's follow-up to 2016's The Serenity Of Suffering have begun. He replied to Ray's tweet with a simple "Yes," and included emojis for a CD and a checkmark.

Frontman Jonathan Davis recently stated that there were "really good ideas" and "cool grooves" in some of the early material that had been written for the band's next album. He also shot down speculation that the band is using outside writers for material for its next studio album. "We're writing everything; we're still writing our own music," he said.
