Thom Yorke has dropped a new solo track for the environmental advocacy organization Greenpeace, titled "Hands Off the Antarctic." Greenpeace is running a campaign for an Antarctic sanctuary, called "Help Protect the Antarctic Ocean."

While talking about the track, the Radiohead frontman says it is about stopping the relentless march of those heavy footsteps. "The Antarctic is a true wilderness and what happens there affects us all. That's why we should protect it."

Yorke said he believes Antarctic is one of "some places on this planet that are meant to stay raw and wild and not destroyed by humanity's footprint."

The song was released along with a black-and-white clip featuring a footage filmed from Greenpeace's ship, Arctic Sunrise, during a three-month research expedition earlier this year.
