Good Charlotte have released the official music video for their song, "Self Help," taken from their most recent album, Generation Rx.
The video, as well as the song, tells a tale of hard work and self-belief, with lyrics such as "I'm ready for a reason to believe/Now I'm working on my insides." It showcases many scenes of failure, courage and strength during the training period of a boxer, while the band perform the song on what appears to be a poorly lit stage.
Speaking about the overarching theme of the album in an interview with Rolling Stone, the band said that they were "at[our best when we were unconscious and naive kids, who didn't know it wasn't cool to try hard or make new friends." "Generation Rx feels to us like we finally found our way back to that place."
The band is presently on the road in North America, celebrating the release of the new album. The second leg of the tour will take them to Europe and is scheduled to kick off in early 2019.
