Country music superstar Garth Brooks debuted his new love song, "Stronger Than Me" at the 2018 Country Music Association Awards.

Brooks performed the powerful ballad solo, with just a guitar for accompaniment. "Stronger Than Me" was penned by Brooks describing his relationship with his wife of 13 years Trisha Yearwood.

"Every now and then she just wants me to hold her/ But that don't mean she's weak. The fact that you're unafraid to let your feelings show just means you're stronger than me," Brooks sang.

"If I have a choice, I pray God takes me first/ 'Cause you're stronger than me," Brooks ended the song dedicated to his wife.

Previously, Brooks had revealed Inside Studio G Facebook Live chat that he would be playing a never-before-heard song at the awards show. At the time he revealed that he calls the song "Trisha's Song," but that neither she nor anyone else would hear the song prior to his CMAs performance.
