The Hong Kong stock market on Tuesday wrote a finish to the three-day winning streak in which it had gathered more than 715 points or 2.7 percent. The Hang Seng Index now rests just above the 25,840-point plateau and it figures to see additional selling pressure again on Wednesday.
The global forecast for the Asian markets is weak thanks to disappointing earnings news, plummeting crude oil prices and trade concerns. The European and U.S. markets were down and the Asian bourses figure to follow that lead.
